My family is growing and I’m so excited and grateful for my pregnancy with baby number three! I am also really grateful for all the love on my pregnancy announcement post, which I was initially very skeptical about.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know that I didn’t share or announce my pregnancy with my daughter, until after she was born. And so, a lot of thought went into whether or not I was going to talk about this pregnancy. To me, there’s something very sacred about pregnancy and I really respect and honor this time. It’s sensitive and beautiful at the same time.
When I sat down to reflect, I was reminded of why I love blogging in the first place. I reminded myself that I love story-telling, connection and empowering others, indirectly or directly. Over the years, blogging has taught me about the power of sharing our stories and the impact that it can have on others around us. If I can just make one mom feel less lonely, clueless or overwhelmed by her pregnancy, then I would have done my job. That is why I eventually decided that I will be sharing parts of this pregnancy on my online channels.
I can honestly say I’’ve enjoyed these last few months – almost as much as I did with my second pregnancy – where the bar was set very high!! I was literally floating with joy in 2015 and 2016! This time, I have a few stresses and lots on my mind, but I’m learning to take each day as it comes because I’m mindful of the effect that it can have on baby.
Hello to my other new baby, YouTube
You may recall from my first blog post of 2019, that getting onto YouTube is one of my top biggest fears but also my top goals. I finally got the courage to put myself out there and share a little bit more about this pregnancy journey. It’s not perfectly filmed, scripted and edited, but hey! I can only get better right?!
A big reason why some of us delay and put our goals on hold, is because we think that everything has to be perfect before we can start or put it out there.
I’m hoping to create more videos and would really appreciate it if you could watch, like and subscribe to my channel.
Thank you so much for your constant love and support, I truly do appreciate it.
Love,
Modern Zulu Mom
