My most memorable mommy moment has to be a very recent one – I shared it on my Instagram a few days ago:
The loves of my life, sharing a very priceless moment, that I won’t be forgetting any time soon.
Lesedi is becoming a fluent reader and on this morning, he asked if his sister could please sit in his room so he can read to her.
This moment was big for me, because for the first time I understood why my 90-year-old grandmother keeps campaigning for us (her grandchildren) to stick together.
Now that I’m a mom of two, I can appreciate her request, because I want nothing more than for my children to have an unbreakable bond, regardless of where life takes them. I want them to stick together even when they don’t agree on certain issues and when sibling rivalry gets the best of them. I want them to overcome their battles together.
I think we’re on the right track because even though there is a 7 year age difference between them, their interactions are already filled with so much love.
Another memorable mommy moment that sticks out for me, is something my son said to me very randomly on one of our drives last year:
“Mom, I love joking with you. That’s my favourite thing”
Both these moments reminded me of how simple LOVE is. You see it in its purest form through children.
What is your most memorable mommy moment?

Aaah, Thank you. He’s a big minion fan
Ncaaw i love that. I love it too when my older son Lesedi plays with his little brother and tells him he loves him. It melts my heart. The other night i was sleeping with both my sons in my bed and my little one started to cry so i got him to make him a bottle of milk. When i returned to the bed i found that lesedi was awake and settling his little brother. I was nearly in tears, that he woke up to look after his little brother
Our Lesedi’s are just the sweetest Grace!! Witnessing your children bond is one of the best feelings in the world
“How simple love is” – so true and beautiful.
Thank you Chev – I think we complicate it when we grow up
Such a truly heart warming post. You seem to be an A 1 mum. Keep it up!
Thank you sooo much Curry Chick – love that name!
This is what love looks like. Congrats on a gorgeous family .
Thank you so much Mama’Senorita
So sweet, that’s the highlight of my everyday prayer, for my children to stick together. There is nothing as sad and hurtful as siblings who are overcome by their differences and battle to forgive each other or even see eye to eye. So much positivity in this blog.
