Making long distance marriage work

It’s been just over a year since my hubby took up an exciting career opportunity in another province – so I thought that it’s probably a good time to reflect on what I think it takes to make long distance marriage work. I hope this post  will encourage a few people who may be in […]

A mood A little birthday twirl ain’t never hurt nobody 🥳☺️ grateful to see chapter 32
NO ONE HAS THE PERFECT LIFE! We all have a story and that goes on behind the scenes. I have been a struggling mom, who once couldn’t afford a branded packet of nappies for my child. I’ve had post natal depression with both my children and I’ve had periods where I had to put everything into my career (at the cost of seeing my child on many nights) just so I could take a step up the corporate ladder and grab the next best opportunity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . Life’s circumstances may be much better now, but, I’m still the mom that does a full day at work, goes home to take care of family, then gets straight back to work on my side hustle until the early hours of the morning (a side I don’t often share). I thrive and get energised by motherhood, so I love painting a positive picture about it. This is where I found my strength. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . Social media can make us feel like “everyone else” has it all and we carry unnecessary envy and self doubt/pity. If someone shares a beautiful moment or photograph, it’s just that - a beautiful moment. We shouldn’t use that which others share, for comparison with our own lives. I personally love posting pretty, bright pictures cos it’s uplifting for me; I’m here to encourage other mothers, because at the lowest parts of my life, an attitude of defeat did nothing for me. It doesn’t mean that I have everything together or that things come easy. And the same goes for the next person on your feed . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . If you are feeling down lately or feeling like you’re far from reaching your goals, just know that where you are now is not where you will end up! You are destined for so much more and those blessings will come in due course There is enough abundance for all of us. Be blessed Mamas. x Thando x Happy Valentines Day guys no love blues over here, just excitement for another little man We are officially going to be outnumbered by the boys in our house. [The real story behind Khumo’s grin = hurry up and take this pic so I can release these damn balloons] these kids don’t get my vision yazi 🤔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . This @keedo_international dress comes as a two piece with leggings, but also works just as perfectly alone
